After Vincente

Yesterday I had written about hardly any damage after Vincente, but that’s not the case. Walking through Discovery Bay I noticed that some branches have broken off trees but even more noticeable was the damage to some of the boats.

A few of the small boats were pushed on to the beach.

They looked like a big giant had forget his toys, just discarded them in the corner.

Even two larger sailing boats had been washed up on to the shore.

They are still laying there and I am curious to see when and how they will be recovered. It probably will take a few days until all the damage has been cleaned away or replaced.

Next to our house is a bus depot, a petrol station and some other maintenance buildings. A fence had been damaged.

Some of the empty water containers had been thrown around in the wind too, again toys that were just lying around… crazy how powerful wind can be.
