Of course, when I wrote the post about the new restaurant opening up in the IFC, the obvious question was: why did I not write about the Apple store? That’s the hotter topic this week.
Ok, well then. Here we go. As almost everyone in and outside of Hong Kong now knows Apple is opening their first Hong Kong store this Saturday, September 24th at 9am at the IFC Mall in Central. Already on Sunday Sep 18 in the evening, the hoarding (see above) has been taken off to reveal iPhone and iPad displays.

According to local Hong Kong media reports, this will be Apple’s most expensive store to date, spanning 20,000 square feet and two floors costing US $20 million to build. It is the sixth Apple Store in China.
